Say Hello to Taylor and Bella, Indigenous Georgian Dogs
Taylor, a gentle Laika dog indigenous to the Black Sea Region, had her tail chopped off while in a forest in eastern Georgia. She was rescued with her half-sister, Bella. Taylor’s ragged wound was treated and thankfully, she and Taylor are now at Geo Dog Refuge, where they enjoy a soft beds, hearty meals, and a safe place to play. Bella is a shy 1-year-old pooch who is just coming out of her shell. Now that Taylor has physically recovered, we are hopeful that the pair of them will be able to live together in the security of a loving home. Adopting Taylor and Bella would not only be an act of compassion, but also a testament to resilience and the incredible power of second chances.
Meet the Labrador Sisters: Eileen, Sadie, Ruby & Luna
These four girls and one boy are just 11 months old, born from 8-year-old mama Jolie who was pregnant when we rescued her. They are strong, intelligent, funny, and sociable. They are all high – energy youths who enjoy fast, interactive games and (being Labs) love playing in water. Luna is the smallest and is regaining mobility in her back leg which was broken 6 months ago. Eileen is the second smallest and is very has a sweet nature. She’s loves to play fetch-the-ball. Sadie is affectionate and super-smart, while Ruby is the alpha-female of the group. They are all fast learners and are obedient, once they understand what is wanted. They are all house-trained.
Giving any or all of these pups a home is not just an act of love; it’s the beginning of a lifelong adventure filled with tail wags, wet-nosed kisses, and unconditional companionship.
